The heating in my main bedroom wasn’t functioning properly, which made for a chilly night despite assurances it would be resolved. Location felt a bit isolated. having a vehicle is necessary as it's not close to other amenities.

The welcoming atmosphere immediately sets this place apart. The evening meal served by the dedicated staff was truly unforgettable. those lamb chops were the largest and most succulent I've ever had. A slight inconvenience occurred since we arrived on a night when meals weren't typically offered, but the chef graciously accommodated us. The bar had limited offerings that evening, yet the quality of the food more than made up for it.

I stayed at The Castle Inn for a weekend with friends. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and we absolutely loved the fantastic meals served in the restaurant. The location was great too, with lovely local shops and even a cinema just a short drive away!

Had an awesome getaway with friends! We explored the lovely local shops and found a great shopping centre and cinema about a 10-minute drive away. The staff were super friendly, and the food was top-notch. The room was spacious and comfortable—ideal for our group. I highly recommend the meals here. they were fantastic!

One downside was the water pressure in the shower. it could have been better. The curtain was tricky to manage but manageable enough. It’s something to keep in mind, especially for a larger group.

had an excellent stay as was in the area on business. met with professionalism and a 5 star service throughout my stay. the food downstairs was incredible! john is a perfectionist when it comes to food and did not disappoint. will defo be staying again next time im around.

I had such a delightful stay enjoying the cheerful ambiance and excellent evening food at the pub while being just a short stroll from beautiful parks like Parc Bryn Bach and Bedwellty House and Park, perfect for anyone who loves weekend city strolls and outdoor views.

The en-suite bedroom was clean and cozy, and we loved the inviting bar area for a nightcap. There’s a lovely garden with comfy loungers and a nice outdoor seating space perfect for relaxing with a drink. The tv only had streaming options, which was a bit of a letdown for catching the news, but overall, we really enjoyed our stay! 😊
